The Angles technique actually utilises a primary shape, which depending on where it lies within the hair, will affect the distribution of colour that's seen. The point of difference between the two techniques is how the colour is deposited. On short hair it will create a faux root look, or on longer lengths it can add strobes of reflective colour.
